Dream About Lost Brother In Paris

pages.dreamInterpretation.thisDreamWasAbout

I was visiting Paris with my family, but I had gone off to explore on my own. The sky was all pinks and oranges and as I walked on a bridge over the Seine it was so picturesque. At a gathering for some kind of public figure, maybe a comedian or motivational speaker, a member of my family had gone missing and was up on top of a hill. He was a little boy at the beginning of the dream, but when he came back he was a young man. The crowd, led by the speaker, sang The Battle Hymn of the Republic to draw the boy back to us, and eventually he came back. The crowd swarmed the speaker in gratitude but I was confused because I didn’t think I had a brother. People kept telling me I did, and I felt guilty that I didn’t remember him. I especially didn’t think he was because he was much darker-complexioned than I am. I said, “well, I’m going to whoop his ass anyway, even if he’s not my brother!” As we walked with him back towards our living quarters, I expressed my confusion to him. He seemed sheepish and embrassed about the whole ordeal. I understood that he had been suicidal, so I pulled him close and asked him if he still was. It seemed that he was okay now. Suddenly I realized that he and I had the same olive complexion and a huge, curly reddish afro. He was definitely my brother after all. At the end of the dream, the family sat around playing video games on their respective phones.

Emma, your dream unfolds in a vibrant setting, Paris, a city often associated with romance and personal exploration. The picturesque sky painted in pinks and oranges can symbolize hope, creativity, and the warmth of relationships. This colorful backdrop reflects your internal landscape, perhaps hinting at a desire for self-discovery and joy amidst the ongoing challenges you face with stress and anxiety. Venturing off on your own suggests a yearning for independence and the need to carve out your own path, especially in a world where you might feel overwhelmed or constrained by the expectations of others. The narrative takes a turn when a family member goes missing, transitioning from a young boy to a young man. This shift indicates growth and change, perhaps mirroring your own journey of self-acceptance and understanding of your identity. The boy could represent a part of yourself that feels lost or neglected, particularly in the context of familial relationships and your own experiences. Your feelings of confusion about not remembering him point to a deeper exploration of your own past, particularly concerning family dynamics and any unresolved feelings of inadequacy or guilt. The communal aspect of the crowd singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic is significant. This moment reflects the collective support and acknowledgment of struggles, which resonates with your own experiences of mental health challenges. The speaker symbolizes a guiding figure, perhaps representing your inner voice or the therapeutic process itself.
