I dreamt my grandmother was still alive and living in her old house, and I was visiting. The house had been somewhat refurbished and renewed, not very up-to-date, but better than it was when she and my grandfather lived in it. It had been a hoarders' house in reality, dark and cluttered, but in the dream it had been cleaned and made lighter and safer. She was being very caring towards me, but in her reserved way. She was giving me vitamins and ice cream, trying to get me to taste different teas, and telling me almost everything about her belongings, or giving me advice on what she thought I needed. I was telling her which things were no longer around these days, and how sad that was. There were crowds of other family there, most I didn't know/didn't exist in waking life. My own daughters were there, all young again, but they were all playing or doing their own things. At one point I saw my oldest one (who is estranged in waking life) being cruel to her next sister, and I got very angry with her, shouting in fury as I never had in waking life. In my mind I was thinking "No, you've hurt us all enough, I'm going to stop you now," and she was heart-breakingly defiant, not recieving the correction at all. But other than that moment, it was nostalgic and comforting to be back in grandma's home, using all the old dinnerware and cups, being in her kitchen. I was eating ice cream and helping to tidy up a bit when I woke up. I felt sad that I had to leave there, it felt safe to be taken care of again.
