Dream About First Crush

I keep having dreams about my first crash from middle school. The dream wouldn't even be about him but he always shows up in some kind of way. I've had dreams about him since middle school ever so often. And I'm so confused, what does he represent? You know, in my waking life, I'm trying to figure out my homosexuality. And uh, he was the first guy I've actually had feelings for that was unrequited and Even in my dream he may not even speak to me. He always avoid me and just looks at me from Afar. But never actually speaks to me, but there are some times in my dreams when he does, but in real life. Maybe I'm trying to figure out what does that mean? I always felt like in real life. He led me on or maybe I got the signs wrong, but overall, he technically rejected me. And I didn't even speak to him. It's so common for him to be in my dreams. At this point I'm trying to figure out why.
