Dream About Deceased Brother And Wilderness Adventure

pages.dreamInterpretation.thisDreamWasAbout

I dreamt that I awoke, and it was 8 o’clock in the evening. I went into the living room and my nine year old daughter was there (she’s actually 23 in real life). I told her that I can’t believe I slept the day away. She said she didn’t want to wake me because I was sleeping peacefully. I went into another room and my deceased brother was there. We talked about being in the wilderness, maybe hiking or staying in a cabin, (which makes sense because our last vacay before he died was to Tennessee to stay in a mountain cabin.) We talked about Ben Cannon (don’t know who he is), as he was a wilderness specialist. I admitted that I was a fan and Kenny (brother) told me to turn around. There, on the sofa, was Ben Cannon. The three of us talked about getting breakfast. Kenny told me what he wanted and I walked into the kitchen and told Annie, my daughter, that I need that frying pan washed please. She said okay. I went back into the living room and Ben had corned beef hash in a tin. He spread his legs open and then reached for me and said “why don’t you come here and give me a kiss?” So, I did and then awoke

Amy, your dream is a fascinating tapestry of time, memory, and relationships. The fact that you awoke at 8 o’clock in the evening and found your daughter, who in real life is 23 but appeared as a nine-year-old in the dream, suggests a longing for simpler times when responsibilities were different and perhaps more manageable. This could indicate a nostalgia for a period when your relationship with your daughter was different, or it could symbolically represent a desire for the innocence and simplicity of the past. The presence of your deceased brother in the dream is particularly poignant. It seems to be a way for your subconscious to bring unresolved feelings or cherished memories to the surface. The wilderness setting and the mention of your last vacation together in Tennessee suggest a deep emotional connection to that time and place. It indicates that you may be longing for the comfort and companionship that your brother provided, and the wilderness setting could symbolize a journey through your own emotional and mental landscape. The introduction of Ben Cannon, a wilderness specialist whom you don’t recognize, could represent an unknown or unexplored aspect of yourself or your life. Admitting that you are a fan and then finding him on your sofa could symbolize your admiration for qualities you wish to embody or bring into your life. The discussion of breakfast plans with your brother and Ben Cannon might reflect a desire for nurturing and sustenance, both physically and emotionally.
