Dream About Asylum And Death
Analyze my dream

This dream was about

I don’t remember much of my dream. I had just moved into a place like an asylum. I was supposed to be working there. I took great care in moving all my furniture and art supplies in. Then it got really weird. I suspected that something wasn’t right there like the other people working there weren’t what they seemed. One night as I was walking through the main building I came into a room with what I was sure was dead bodies under sheets. And there was this tiny person who did all sorts of weird stuff and was trying to kill everyone. I ran to get out of there but of course it wasn’t that easy. There were so many people to talk to first who tried to convince me I hadn’t seen dead bodies. I had to hire people to help me get my stuff out of the house. I wanted to do it quickly because I was worried about being in the house. But of course it took a long time. I even think my mom was with me at some point trying to help me get all my stuff. I was very worried about leaving any behind. It felt like I was trying to leave the place forever! Then I’d think I was done and I’d find myself back in the house again! There was a big gate/guard post to get out and I didn’t have the correct paperwork to leave so that caused more problems. There was a lot of fear and frustration! In the end after it took so long to extricate myself from the place, I began to get very attached to some of the other people who worked there. I don’t remember any specifics but I get the feeling that I became romantically interested in one and it seems like he turned out to be my husband or my exhusband although he looked completely different. Even so I knew it was him. Then I was a little sad to leave because it had been so long since I’d seen the dead bodies. Then I saw more bodies wrapped in cloth and thrown in a dumpster and I knew I had to get out quick. I think I woke up at that point.

Matilda, your dream presents a vivid tapestry of emotions and symbols that hint at deeper layers of your psyche. Moving into a place resembling an asylum suggests a transition or change in your life that may feel confining or oppressive. The act of bringing your furniture and art supplies indicates a desire to create a personal space, yet the environment feels unsettling, which may reflect feelings of uncertainty in your current life situation. This duality of creating comfort while simultaneously sensing something off-kilter speaks to a conflict between your aspirations and your worries about your surroundings. As your dream progresses, the presence of dead bodies under sheets signifies hidden fears or neglected issues in your life. The fact that you perceive something sinister in your workplace hints at an underlying anxiety about the people around you, possibly suggesting that you feel surrounded by deception or that you might be grappling with feelings of isolation in your professional life. The tiny person trying to harm others further amplifies this sense of threat, representing perhaps an aspect of yourself that feels small or powerless in confronting these fears. When you attempt to escape but encounter obstacles, it mirrors the frustrations you may be experiencing in your waking life, where the desire for liberation is met with bureaucratic or emotional barriers. The presence of your mother indicates a support system, yet it also might symbolize the expectations or pressures you feel from family dynamics. This aspect of your dream highlights your desire to leave behind the burdens of your past, yet the fear of neglecting parts of yourself or your history lingers. The emotional attachment that develops towards the coworkers, particularly as you perceive a romantic interest in one who resembles your husband or ex-husband, illustrates a complex relationship with intimacy and connection. This transformation of familiar figures into new forms may signify a longing for rekindled relationships or unresolved feelings from your past. The sadness you feel at leaving, juxtaposed with the urgency of needing to escape, encapsulates the struggle of wanting to move on while still holding onto certain emotional ties.
